The Missouri Technology Corporation announced the opening of funding rounds for three of their investment programs: TechLaunch, High-Tech Industrial Expansion and MOBEC (Missouri Building Entrepreneurial Capacity). Companies in the MTC focus areas looking for equity funding through the MTC should submit their application by Nov. 1, 2012. Applications for each commercialization program are available at
MTC. MTC focus areas include: animal health, applied engineering, biomedical science, defense and homeland security and plant science.
Missouri TechLaunch: Provides pre-seed funding to entrepreneurial startups for intellectual property development and evaluation, including in-depth analysis of market potential, conducting competitive analysis, establishing proof of concept of a scientific discovery, prototype design and develoment, and related activities.
High-Tech Industrial Expansion: To be used to purchase equipment, facitilate construction, and hire key personnel.
MOBEC: Targets public or private non-profit Missouri research institutions or entrepreneurial support organizations that expand the support system of entrepreneurs commercializing new technologies or that enhance the capacity for Missouri to grow its innovation economy.
