Early stage companies involved in clean tech have until Oct. 31, 2012, to be part of the Clean Energy Challenge. After that deadline, finalists will be selected to compete in Chicago in April.
The Clean Energy Challenge seeks to find Midwest clean energy businesses with the potential to bring innovations to the marketplace.
This year a total of 20 teams from across the region, 10 early stage businesses and 10 Student Challenge finalists, will present their clean tech innovations to a distinguished panel of venture capitalists, corporate investors and business leaders at the 2013 Clean Energy Challenge in Chicago.
A minimum of $250,000 in prizes will be awarded. Grand prize winners in each track will receive a $100,000 prize, with additional $10,000 state prizes available for Student Challenge finalists. The Student Challenge grand prize winner will also earn the opportunity to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy national business competition for university students.
The event will take place on April 4, 2013 in Chicago.
Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the launch of these promising new businesses. Finalists from the 2011 & 2012 Clean Energy Challenge have raised a combined $20 million in venture funding to date and are now commercializing their technologies.
