Business Location
Choosing where to locate your business is an important decision. Business.gov offers Business Location Tips to help you make the right selection.
Site location and tax incentives
With their extensive database of real-estate opportunities and demographic statistics, Kansas City’s economic development centers (EDC) can supply your businesses with the information you need to decide whether to lease, buy, or build, including data that can help you with site selection and tax incentives that could influence your decision.
For site selection, for example, most EDCs can:
- run traffic counts
- pull demographic information about the proposed location
- help you find state resources that could help finance the move
- put you in touch with a realestate broker to help close the deal
From Olathe to Gladstone, these centers cover Kansas City’s 18-county region, and where they may differ on the services they provide, they all focus on bringing and keeping business in their communities.
