With their extensive database of real-estate opportunities and demographic statistics, Kansas City’s economic development centers (EDC) can supply your businesses with the information you need to decide whether to lease, buy, or build, including data that can help you with site selection and tax incentives that could influence your decision.

For site selection, for example, most EDCs can:

Bioscience & Technology Business Center 
 Who: Area biotech and technology entrepreneurs
Locations in Lawrence and Kansas City, Kansas.  The incubator offers wet lab and office space to emerging bioscience and technology companies as well as providing access to professional business services staff.

Independence Regional Ennovation Center
 Who: Area biotech and technology entrepreneurs
Located in Independence, Missouri, the Ennovation Center is a mixed use business incubator which focuses on three core areas for development of new business:  biotech, kitchen, and business & technology.

Venture Accelerator at the Kansas Bioscience Park
 Who: Area biotech and technology entrepreneurs
Located in Olathe, Kansas, the incubator provides wet lab and office space to early stage bioscience companies along with ready access to Kansas Bioscience Authority's business development staff.

Urban Business Enterprise Center
Who: Area minority- and women-owned businesses
Located in Kansas City, Kansas, and managed by the Kansas Black Chamber of Commerce. The incubator provides office space, mailbox services as well as "virtual space" for non-tenant businesses.
